My CPU is
running at a slower clock speed than what I purchased.
Why? We run into this situation all the time.
This happens mostly with AMD chips due to various FSB
speeds. It has to do with the chip and bios
setting. Your Motherboard timing setting (cpu clock
speed) in the BIOS will be default at the lower speed in
case you install a CPU chip running at 200MHz FSB.
When installing a 266MHz or higher FSB, your Motherboard
must firstly support this and you must have a qualified
Technician make sure the settings are correct in the MB
for the type of CPU you installed. If not, your
CPU is basically under-clocked and will show running at
a slower than rated speed. Call AMD at
408-749-3060 and they will walk you through the re-set.

Can I find
or get a specific version or revision or serial number
on a particular item? UNLESS directly specified
by the product description or title, we do not guarantee
revision or version numbers. We ship what we have, when
we have it. Generally, our stock moves so fast that we
have the latest version or revision of everything.

cannot tag a particular version or revision
for a particular order and make sure the warehouse picks
that box or item when your sales order comes

out of stock items? All products from Ateck
are shipped in a timely manner. You will either see
"usually ships in 24 hours" or "ships in 2-3 days"; the
former means the product is currently in stock and
ready to ship and the later means we simply have
to contact one of our nearby manufacturers which
only results in a 2 day delay. The point is,
you will be happy our speediness!
Can

tell me if they will be getting an item not
on the website? No. There are to many products
that we do not carry. Actually we carry just the items
that are popular and which can be offered at a
considerable value to our customers.
A price has
dropped on an item I purchased but my order has not
shipped yet. Can I get a refund? Ateck
does
not offer any price guarantee. The prices in our
industry change too often, too fast, for us to offer any
such guarantee. If the order has not shipped, you can
cancel the order and replace online to take advantage of
the new prices. All prices are as is, at the time of
sale.
Does
Ateck
have the phone numbers or URL’s of the
manufacturers of the items they carry? Yes. Go to

What is the
difference between OEM and Retail items? The
retail and OEM versions usually will have the same exact
product, however the retail version usually will come
with bundled software, retail packaging, and more bells
and whistles so to speak. OEM (Original Equipment
Manufacturer), White Box, Brown Box versions will come
with the actual product and sometimes the drivers, but
not much else. No special packaging or software.
Usually, the retail version will be accompanied by a
longer warranty. The OEM version is more for people who
build systems and know what they are doing and do not
require any extras. Suggestion: Check out the
manufacturer's website, to see what all is
included. However, the manufacturer's site will
NOT indicate what is included for OEM items. Use
our "See it" link to see exactly what you
get.
Can
Ateck
customer service agents physically get a
product and describe it for me? Customer service
cannot physically get a hold of a particular product to
describe it for you. Volume is too big, operation is too
fast. All the information we have for each item is on
our website. Please use the “PRODUCT LINK” and “SEE IT”
link and “DETAILED SPECS” link for information on the
product.
What is the warranty
on Ateck
products?
OEM CPU's -- Refund: 7 days from
the date of invoice Repair/replace: 30 days from date

Retail CPU's --
Refund: 7 days from the
date of invoice Repair/Replace: Contact the
Manufacturer for Warranty. The manufacturer generally
offers a 3 year warranty.
Physical damage to any product will void the
product's warranty. Modifying a product in a
permanent way is considered physically damaged.
Ateck
cannot honor warranty for CPU's that have
bent pins, cracked or chipped cores, burnt or otherwise
sustained any other type of physical damage. Physical
damage voids any warranty previously implied for any
product.
Most other items are 30 day refund from date
of invoice and 1 year repair/replace, unless otherwise
specified on by the item's description at the time of
purchase.
Retail box items are warranted by the
Manufacturer after 30 days from the invoice date.
Ateck
will service our customers for Retail Box
items during the first 30 days of purchase. If any
manufacturer does not service end users, such as "only
overseas" type with no contact or RMA procedures,
Ateck
will honor the warranty listed on our website
at the time of purchase.
OEM items come with a 1 year warranty from invoice date,
unless otherwise advertised, directly by
Ateck
.
Surveillance Products come with a 1 year parts
warranty from invoice date, unless otherwise advertised, directly by Ateck.
What is the
warranty on CPU’s? How does it work?
Warranty:

All retail
CPU's carry a 3 year manufacturer warranty and must be
serviced by the original manufacturer.

For all CPU's, Ateck
will
not cross-ship.

All
defective and DOA CPU's will be replaced upon
return.
Refund:

All CPU's can only be
refunded within the first 7 days from invoice date,
and must be post marked within 7 days, no
exceptions.

All
defective and DOA CPU' s will be replaced, not
refunded.

All refunds,
including defective and DOA CPU's, will be charged a
15% restocking fee.
Physical damage to any product will void the
product's warranty. Improper Installation of CPU
fans and Improper clocking will cause CPUs to Chip. ALL
CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent pins are
considered physically damage. Ateck
will not replace or
refund CPUs that are physically damaged. This may
include but is not limited to improper handling and any
kind of physical damage not caused by normal use. Bent
pins are a common site in physical damaged cpu's.
Forcing the chip into place will never solve the problem
but will only result in voiding the warranty. AMD and
Intel will not take these kind of CPU's back from
Ateck
Therefore, Ateck
must return any
physical damaged cpu to the customer at the customer's
loss.
Why does the website
say 10 reviews but I can read only 4 reviews? 10
reviews means 10 people gave a 1-5 star rating, however,
only 4 persons may have written comments. Most people
just give stats, not comments.
We always check out all reviews
before we put them on the site. They are a help to make
a purchase but should never be the final say in making a
purchase. One can never tell who the person doing the
reviewing is, or what level of competency with the
product they may possess. If we receive several bad
reviews on an item, we simply stop selling that item,
period. We don't want to sell any items that are not a
good value to our customers.
Can I take
advantage of a manufacturer mail-in rebate with

? For your convenience, Ateck
does
it's best to advertise any current rebates on our web
site. The prices listed on our web site do not include
the rebate savings. Any use of these rebates is limited
to any terms or conditions as determined by the

What does
“Bare Card”, “Bare Drive” or “Drive Only”
mean? These items come exactly as they are
described. You will only receive the bare drive or the
bare card. These items are brand new, however they are
purchased in bulk, and will not accompany any
documentation, software, or accessories. Suggestion:
Most drivers and documentation can be downloaded from
the manufacturer's web site. Use our "See it" link
to see exactly what you get with all items.
Does
Ateck
offer a money back guarantee? On most
items you can get a refund in the first 30 days. The
exception being CPU’s for which a refund is available
for 7 days from the date of the invoice. Other
exceptions may be noted on our website. 15% restocking
fee will apply for any other reason than replacing a
defective product. Additional deduction will be made for
CPU or Memory depending on current market value.
